Martial Arts Participation Survey
I am working on the dissertation phase of my PhD at Northcentral University. I need adult martial artists (18 and older) in the United States of all ranks to take my survey.
The survey does not ask sensitive personal information or any information that can identify and individual or their school.
Would you help me by taking my survey? It should take less than 10 minutes.I would sincerely appreciate your help.
Simply follow this link. The survey is hosted on one of the popular professional survey sites.
Phrost suggested I post this request on Bullshido. I am not sure where is the best place on here. I will answer any questions you may have regarding the survey or my research. Thanks again for your help!

Hi Thompson_acma. I moved your thread to the general martial arts forum. The one you originally posted in, the Basic Technique forum, is strictly for discussing martial technique.
While you will probably have to put up with more jokesters in this forum, you will also get more exposure and probably more participation.
Welcome to the site and good luck with your research.

welcome to bullshido. I'll go take it...and I'd suggest posting the link on the wall for the bullshido facebook page, as some posters are more addicted to Facebook than BS.
Also craig's list, for your region/city might help.
EDIT: just did the survey. I'll post to my facebook profile also...to hopefully get another couple of responses, for you.

Took the survey - under "style" I noticed one called "American". Not sure what that is.
Also, there's not one for boxing, which is a fairly popular MA."Never trust a quote you read on the internet" - Abraham Lincoln

I took the survey, hopefully bullshido members wont skew the results too much.

Done. Good luck with your project. I've used surveymonkey for an anthropology research paper and thought it was a great tool.

Your survey was pretty good. No spot for wrestling as an MA selection though. Please let us know if we will be able to see the results/conclusions of your survey at some time.Walrus Mike
