Hey guys, is there a magic button I can push so I don't have to actually put in all the hard work required to learn Judo because it's difficult!

What a ridiculous question! No, there is no such grip or body position unless you include the position of sitting in your car outside of your club with your grip on the steering wheel.

You really should think about why you are asking such a question if you are doing Judo. If such a grip and position existed (which it doesn't) it would prevent you from throwing other people. Where is the fun in that?

Are you afraid of being thrown? You cannot learn Judo without ukemi.

There are various body positions where your opponent cannot throw you, they are collectively called "whatever-position-after-you-threw-the-opponent's-arse-on-to-the-ground."

But I've never heard of a grip or body position you can start from which makes you invincible.

Get Boba Fett to carbon-freeze you into a plank.

Drop plank from Slave 1 to bottom of some ocean or other.

Once there, you cannot be thrown.

If you are not getting thrown you are not learning Judo.
Judo is only gentle for the guy on top.

    Relativity is your friend.

There's no centre to the Universe; all positions exist relative to each other rather than being absolute.

Nobody is ever throwing you. As your adversary grips 'n' flips you, just tell yourself that it's you who remain in situ while the tatami--with the rest of the Earth beneath it--are rushing toward you.

    Denial can move planets.
