IMHO, I would stay away from anyone that offers luxury transportation, "live-fire" practical applications and cocktails afterwards. They may be legit and former this-or-that but it sounds like a 'boutique' experience and it's catering to the wanna-be's that won't take the time to research training experiences that focus on building the basics without all the marketing hype. Again, IMHO.
I realize the deals listed are not their 'luxury' experience but I'd be wary of statements like 'one of a kind experience virtually not found anywhere in North America'. That's just...Bullshido if you're actually trying to learn and increase your level of skill. It may be true if you were showing up in their twin engine helicopter and drinking cocktails in a posh lounge afterwards (that's not typically found) but not when shooting less than 500 rounds in a 1, 2 or 4 hour period with common handguns and/or rifles.
If you look at it from a business perspective they seem to be hurting for business as are most small newer shooting and/or driving schools.
I couldn't find the guys background other than he'd recently returned from PSD training in the US.Last edited by Ranger5280; 3/11/2011 9:15am at . Reason: cleanup a little grammar

Yeah, I called a couple of my peeps down at Blackwater (cough--errrr, US Training Center) and nobody's heard of these guys; so that's kind of a red flag in of itself. A lot of these guys who work for these places like Blackwater, Team One, Storm Mountain, Mount Olive, Thunder Ranch, PFT, etc.---most of them know each other and if they don't---they at least know who each are ARE. Nobody I talked know knows who these guys are; so that's kind of weird. However, don't take that as immediately as something bad...sounds like somebody took their "contractor dollars" from overseas security work and parlayed it into creating this business. Can't fault them for that.
On a lighter note, it is satisfying to see that US Training/Blackwater is using my picture like a bazillion times on their website for training services. :EWBTE: -

The truncated thread title on the main forum index listed this thread as "Training with Gladius...", and ehre I was getting mine off the wall getting all ready to talk about the practical, modern day applications of a millenia old weapon of infantry warfare :-( Also, that the whole thing would be kind of silly.
