This is the quote that seems, to me, to really mean Amateur MMA is under attack...
"We're cancelling amateur events to make way for bigger, better shows," said Nicholas Lembo, a deputy attorney general.
Cancelling an amateur show for a professional one which (if I read that right) is being held in a different location does seem excessive, and yeah that sucks.
But I, too, don't see how this spells the end of amateur MMA in NJ, or even just Atlantic City. They should at least refund the guy the $14 he spent making fliers at Kinkos.
