English System Principles..?
For the WMA experts, what do you think of this lot:
I don't know much about WMA, so not sure what to make of them (never been to a class of theirs).

I think this is Terry Brown's system, which is well-regarded in the WMA community. The "principles" refer to the set of combat tactics defined by George Silver in his treatises, The Paradoxes of Defence and Brief Instructions on my Paradoxes of Defence. It's been many years since I looked into them, but they're generally held to be a solid set of universal tactics. I believe that Terry's system applies Silver's principles to bare-knuckle pugilism and other historical English styles, as well as to the weapons they originally addressed.Check out the Bullshido.net Western Martial Arts Forum for all things Western, martial and arty.
