I was bittorrenting porn the other day on my laptop when I saw this movie about Aikido and the history of (Oh, oh, ... O'sensei) on Discovery channel. To repell the emptiness after I finished masturbating I decided to watch the movie. Now I'm not a big fighter or anything. I had my TKD days and my Kung Fu moments when I stored so much Chi which I'm generously spurring these days through my urinary track but I have to say that this must be the lamest thing I've ever seen in my life (probably even past Tai Chi).
Coming here, it was no surprise to see that so many of you share this belief as well. However, it was a long weekend and this time I was following 'Fight Quest' on Discovery channel as well. The two yanki's were shipped to Israel to learn Krav Maga in five days and then they had to stand up against ten full grown men with functional limbs. They were maimed so horrendously and got beaten up by almost everyone that not only the hair on my back stood up, but my eye lashes as well. My adrenaline was pumping in my vessels!
That was the most aggressive fighting style I've seen in my life and mind my french if you want to call this **** a martial 'art'. The only difference between Krav Maga and dog fight is that dogs use their teeth and claws only and those guys will not bash from beating you with their 'wangs' if they have to and also dogs won't probably kick you in the nuts!
Which bring us to the point of this post. Just a question: Which one would be more interesting to follow? An Aikido master on the mat with an Israeli Krav Maga soldier or porn?

But in all seriousness, that post was awesome.

That is the best possible way to start off any story about anything. * I didn't read all the other stuff you wrote, but Krav Maga and Aikido suck.
* With the possible exception of :"So Yesterday I was taking a whiz in this guy's mouth......"

Krav Maga has it's moments. I feel like your better off taking the occasional seminar in it to check out the latest hot new trend on how to wrench a pistol out of someone's hands rather than train in it on a regular basis.'
Aikido, on the other hand, is just a bad martial art. It demonstrates what happens when you base a martial art around esoteric religious principles rather than around asking yourself "how can I best hurt people?"

The reason you feel confused is that your subconscious knows you were looking at dudes with tits, not chicks with dicks like it said on the website. Happy to help.
it's all vanity

Well, if you only have about 30 seconds, you could watch the Aikidoka and the soldier fight, with an instant reply of the finishing blow.
Although, one would hope the same could not be said of your porn viewing.

This is easily the best first post I've ever read on Bullshido. The nonchalance with which you fling filth is to be commended.

Style: gah, transition again
I think Krav Maga can actually be good when trained with the right methods. Bas Rutten is down with some Krav Maga guys, and I would honestly consider his SD style basically Krav Maga.
Good Krav Maga looks a lot like MMA, I'd imagine, just with weapon work and more SD-oriented drills. I bet it'd be seriously fun if done right.

It's pretty rare to see any videos of Aikidoka doing any actual fighting. I actually talked to a local Aikido instructor, and this is from the actual e-mail:

To: Mikhail Rodsky <firstname.lastname@example.org>
I regret that I am so long in getting back to you.
You are welcome to take a free first class. Monday & Thursdays 6:15 - 7:15 PM or Saturday mornings 10 - 11:30 are the times for the complimentary class.
I have only focused on Aikido and am unable to compare it with the other arts that you have trained in. It is not a fighting art and, so, may be of interest for you to try--just to see you find it.
Not a fighting art? Why exactly would one train a martial art then?
It seems odd to me. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I have also heard this same instructor espouse negative views about cross training, so if you can't even use certain things from Aikido along with other arts then what is the point of it, some spiritual thing?

Marcell: That guy deserves serious props for honesty. If his marketing reflects that stance as well... wow. Also came off as humble and welcoming, whereas some TMAers have chips on their shoulders if you bring up sparring or fighting.
