I was sparring a week ago and I took a really solid knee to the left side of my rib cage from the clinch. It dropped me! The pain was intense, I couldn't breath and I thought I may have broken a rib or something. Thankfully it wasn't broken. Its now a week later and any time I get hit in that area hard or light, it drops me and I cannot breathe for a bit. This wouldn't worry me so much if I didnt have a thai fight coming up in a month. Is there anything I can do to help it heal or not make it hurt so much during sparring? do u think it will be healed in a month?

Rib fractures are hard to pick up on a plain film x-ray. A bone scan might show something a few months from now.

If you don't have pain when you breathe, you are fine. Just don't get it hit again for the next week or so. It probably isn't broken, just bruised.

my father screwed up his ribcage before and it hurt every time he breathed. i think it took like 6 months before he could really work out and was in fighting shape again.

Could be a subluxed rib, I had one of those recently. I could hear a pop as it dislocated and relocated whenever my girlfriend hugged me. It took me out of training for six months. Rest and prescription anti-inflammatories finally did the trick.
Just because it doesn't hurt when you breathe doesn't mean you're ok. See a doctor.

Yeah, just don't do any hard sparring for a while, and let the bruise heal. You'll be fine.
You say what about my rice?
