I could look through Anslow's Encyclopedia of Tae Kwon Do Patterns. HE has a lot of history in the back of it and some of it may not have been said yet. He also talks about where various orgs place kihaps in their forms which I find kind of interesting as he talks about how General Choi didn't have them in his org, instead having you yell the name of the form at the end. Other instructors carried them over from their Shotokan backgrounds and now everyone kihaps in different places. My club is non-ITF but we shout the name of the forms at the end (and don't do sine wave), for instance.

I saw that you have a link for the United Taekwondo Federation founded by Master Dennis Thompson. Both of my kids trained under Master Thompson and the current owner of the UTF, Master Tim Castle, so I think I'm safe in pointing out that the link you posted appears to be for the United Taekwon-do Federation, not the United Taekwondo Federated founded by Master Thompson. Master Castle currently operates one UTF school in Plymouth, Indiana. The link for it, if you're interested, is: www.plymouthmartialarts.com. I think this is great what you did.

This link lead to a discussion that said nothing about the United States Taekwondo Committee (USTC). If you are looking for information on that go to http://www.ustaekwondocommittee.com Or ask me what you would like to know. If I don't have the answer I will ask Pres. Lee of the USTC.

There's a great history of TKD right here. the Author is still compiling it but it stretches from the founding of TKD to the start of the Oh Do Kwan and ITF so far, covering all schools and styles:

My duaghter is taking TKD from a guy in Huntington Beach CA, was kind of wondering about his qualifications. They have a 3 year Black Belt program that costs close to 10k when all is said and done, which I am dubious of, but my ex is paying for it so i'm like whatev.
