What a strange night... Maybe Perez just wanted to establish a name for himself so he could go make some money in Belator?

Up until the injury, I had a great time. You could tell that Cote and Burkman were having a ball; I could see their grins all the way up in my cheap seat. With all the Canadian fighters, the crowd was a howling pack of enthusiasm, and I was impressed with the toughness of the two Ukrainians. That injury wasn't fun to watch, though. Oliveira just sort of... sat down... and then laid down. Holloway didn't know how to react. He was still amped (it was only a minute and a half into the first round) and started celebrating, then sobered when he saw that this was serious. The crowd was confused, too. We didn't know whether to cheer for Holloway, to offer "support clapping" for Oliveira, or just to stand around looking concerned while the medics hauled him off (so we sort of cycled through all of those options at random intervals). Later someone from UFC said that it was a tear in his esophagus. Scary. I thought Holloway showed class, trying to brush past talking about himself to focus on concern for Oliveira.

For those who missed the event http://fightcreature.com/ufc-fight-night-74/
Cote and Burkman was great don't know about that stoppage though and damn Magny is back. Don't know why it was a split decision he pretty much dominated the striking. A torn esophagus damn that's brutal it was a good event.

Its a shame, I was looking forward to that fight. Holloway has improved so tremendously in his past 4 fights, but seeing Magny take another win almost made up for it.
Funny how small erick silva looks now that PEDs testing is ramping up but his cardio seemed better. I would have liked to see him turn it on like he used to.
