Those are pretty damn interesting. Does Ms. Godfrey practice or is she just a researcher? Just curious after reading what she wrote her Dissertation on.

AFAIK Emy Godfrey took a self defense course in college, and that inspired her to focus on the history of that subject academically. She's currently prepping a companion history of women's self defense in the Victorian and Edwardian periods; she's also interviewed in the upcoming Bartitsu documentary.

I'm mostly looking forward to the next book as a serious study of the jujitsu-trained Bodyguards of the British Suffragette movement; they really deserve to be better known.
