Also, someone mentioned the difference in gloves being an issue. You have to realize, that this will probably work in Tyson's favor. I'd venture to say that Tyson has more punching power than any current MMA fighter. Combine that with the much reduced padding of MMA gloves, and you're giving him potential one punch knockout power. He's already proved he's able to KO people in under 30 second with full boxing gloves, so imagine someone taking a few blows from Tyson without the benefit of those large mitts.

Remember, Tyson DID sign with k-1 (or pride, cant remember) just a little while ago. Obviously he's gonna fight sometime. I think he'll destroy Sapp, but a good grappler has a decent chance, if he can get past the punch.
Remember, he doesn't have to be a great grappler, just good enough to stay on his feet. -

Oh, and here's a thought-what about DQ? We've seen what he can do if he's frustrated in a boxing match, (the infamous Holyfield ear incident) so what about when he's being grappled? The guy loses his cool and it's out he goes, never to return. And I think that would hurt the sport overall; the MMA industry would risk losing a lot of credibility by signing him even if he did agree to the paltry MMA purses.
K-1 I think he'd have a shot, though, just from sheer power and endurance. -

I don't think Tyson would do that well. Boxers who are used to too many rules have never done well in MMA unless they've had specific MMA boxing training.
Personally I'd like to see him go up against crocop (and that could happen if he's really signed up to k-1 as the rumours say)
A good grappler would take him out unless he gets some serious take down defense between now and when he starts. Holding is seen all the time in boxing - even in Tyson's fights, so we know people can get in close to him... so he better learn what to do cos no ref's gonna break them up. I can see Tyson causing a controversy by biting to get out of an armbar (ala bruce lee movies).
