Most BB are pretty proud of who gave them their BB, right?[/QUOTE]

No, i'm a two time BB in kyokushin.
the first time i got one i was 11 and even then it felt like it was handed out like candy.

then at 15 i started again and had to work for my second BB (different teacher)
i still do not like reffering to my first BB
Maybe he got his BB way to easy too?

BJJ black belt is what he is talking about and yes a large majority are proud of their lineage. I know the design is hard to differentiate, but you need to read the rules of each subforum. Your post adds nothing to MABS which is moderated much stronger than other areas.

Pushups. I wish I had had this kind of training in school.

I love how it it is vBulletin specific, too.

I vote this video should be added to the FAQ/guidelines for every forum and to the Rules page.

Yes, it pops up now and again and was in a sticky and is always lost during an upgrade.

No, huge difference. There is no way he would have got it too easily. You would know this if you had experience with the subject matter, which is BJJ. Since clearly you don't, see yourself out.

    Answer re: Scott Lewis

Saw this thread and I know it's pretty outdated. It also seems like the thread veered away from Scott specifically. However, I'd like to update the OP -

Scott Lewis was finally fired from Chaos. Not only was his black belt self-awarded, but his brown belt was too. The story he tells about how he was awarded a brown belt on the spot after a tournament was completely fabricated.

I don't train under him nor would I ever. Not only because of the rank business but because he's a ridiculously insecure human being who tries to compensate for it by being ridiculously pompous and obnoxious.

Unfortunately, there are many students who earned a black belt from Scott who now have to start over again or at least start at blue belt since Scott didn't have the authority to issue anyone a belt higher than his own.

While I don't take pleasure in the pain of others, I was giddy when I heard he was finally canned.

    1. That is one of the best user names I've ever seen.

    2. I suggest introducing yourself with an introductory thread in the Newbietown forum.
Shut the hell up and train.
