Beretta 92fs mag problems

Just got this beast (fo' free), a beretta 92fs (m9, for you military types)

The damn mag doesn't fit into the magazine well, its stuck! The french? it wasn't doing this **** before. The only thing that changed were those gay ass stag grips he had on them before got switched back to the original.

So yeah, what should I do?

Is it possible that whomever switched the grips borked the grip bushings badly enough to interfere with the mag well?

Are there any marks on the magazine?

Stupid thread is stupid, the screws were too tight. Its fixed

Don't **** this up. Your screws CANNOT be too tight for your Model 92. If your screws are "too tight" and your screws are going into the magazine well, then you are missing the grip screw lock washer(s) from the frame. IF YOU ARE MISSING ONE...you will tighten them all the way down and they will scratch/impede the insertion/removal of your magazine.

If you don't have one, basically it will allow your grip screws to be screwed down into the magazine well, which will either prevent you from inserting a magazine into the gun, or if you screw them in while the magazine is in the gun, you won't be able to get the magazine out.

Yeah...I know; Microsoft Paint FOR THE WIN! I also know that the grip screws don't protrude WHATSOEVER into the mag well when you use the lock washers (as barely indicated in my pic), but I'm not going for scale or technical accuracy, here. Just an explanation of what likely is amiss.

You can confirm it's the part labeled “69” in this schematic.

EDIT: I am proud that I've gone from knowing next to nothing about guns to being able to accurately diagnose a Beretta 92 problem based on my knowledge of M1911A1 internals (even though I used the wrong term for the part).
