    Sub Only Tournament Feb 26th

Great event for WV, PA and OH and MD. We get people coming from all over to our tourneys. Last fall we had 108 competitors. That's pretty good for our little school. Contact us at any of the links on the facebook if you have questions. Lots of kids divisions. Good, even adult field of competition. Good refs, smoothly run. Swords for prizes this year! wo0t!

    Swords as prizes.
.....I gotta say, that's the first time I've ever heard of such an award.

    Swords for grapplers...interesting.

These tournaments are getting more and more common out west, and I really like them. It's rare to get the super-long matches that everyone dreads, and you get a lot less retard grappling (get ahead on points and stall stall stall). I believe that encouraging everyone to hunt for submissions and actually worry about defending them (instead of waiting for time to elapse) makes for better players all around.

The swords for prizes thing happens at some of them out here, and I find it totally sweet. If your team wins a lot, you get wicked after-tournament pictures.

Ive been to many of GZ Morgantown's tournaments and they're awesome. Well run and there is always good competition there. If you love grappling, you'll enjoy this tournament.

We don't even get swords. Sometimes they hand out shinai as prizes, mostly it's just the medal and maybe a trophy.

NAGA has been giving them out for years. I have several.

Man why does everything have to be on the 26th. Throwdown, couple of buddies have MMA fights, and a GZ tournament. Decisions, decisions.
