Pistol Carry Condition
My Sig is a DA/SA. I carry it with loaded magazine inserted, round in the chamber, not cocked. However, with no safety all I have to do to fire is pull the trigger. Is that technically condition 2 or condition 1?
Pistol carry conditions
- Loaded magazine inserted, round in the chamber, cocked and ready to fire
- Loaded magazine inserted, round in the chamber, not cocked
- Loaded magazine inserted, chamber empty, not cocked
- Magazine removed, chamber empty, slide locked back
What condition do you keep your pistol in?

Always ready to go.
I guess that would be loaded/chambered/not cocked or "condition 2"
WHen I carry my 1911 I always carry condition 1 "Cocked and locked"And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

My primary carry is a Glock, I carry with one in the chanber. Since it is DAO, it can't technically be "cocked", so I guess I am condition 1.5 like the OP.

Jericho941 (an Israeli CZ clone) condition 2 I've never felt comfortable with carrying with the hammer cocked.
Ruger SR9/Glock 21 - I guess, based on the link, condition 0.______

You can't practice Judo just to win a Judo Match! You practice so that no matter what happens, you can win using Judo! The key to fighting two men at once is to be much tougher than both of them.

Condition 2 is probably where most people will be. It's safe...yet ready.

On the rare occasions I carry, the pistol is at condition 2.
Inside the gun safe at home, all of my weapons are at condition 3. Even though they are locked away, this makes me feel more secure because I know my son is not yet strong enough to chamber a round into any of my guns.

I also carry a Glock, so I guess it is in the 1.5 as stated above.
