Craptastic TKD ground defences and more!

One of several inspired groundfightig defences from here: http://www.blackbeltacademies.co.uk/....asp?helpID=11
    Ground Ho Shin Sul

Ho Shin Sul from the ground

Attacker has defender pinned on their back strangling from a side mount
Defender strikes the arms to shorten the distance to the attackers face then strikes with twin vertical fist punch to the maxilliofacial structure. The defender then slips the left knee into the attackers thorax then kicks their right leg across hooking under the attacker throat/neck. This allows the defender to scissor kick the attacker dismounting them. The defender then regains their balance into a kneeling position & finishes the attacker with an appropriate strike.
Note thatwhilst being strangled, you start striking effectively.. it's all inthe breathing I suppose... I so wish it had pictures.

    The instructor:

    And again with that knife:

    More amusing knife pics:

If your method is wrong, you should at least use anatomicaly sounding names to name body parts..

We should add needlessly scientific sounding technique descriptions to the bullshittometer.

"maxilliofacial structure" = common mispelling of maxillofacial structure = lower face and jaw area = smack them on the jaw

    The gallery is awesome...

    http://www.blackbeltacademies.co.uk/gallery/index.asp

... first pic is a useless hold down - the uke must be dead. The rest are standard crap TKD fair - breaking boards, cool high side kick posing, flying kicks that hit 2 people at once... no actual sparring/fighting pics...

I'm sure I've seen this before....
Mark first became involved in VIP Protection in 1987 when you had to be ex Special Forces, intelligence agency or police. Mark originally went on the training courses to see what he could learn & apply to his Martial Arts. After qualifying Mark provided close protection for a few 'celebs' but he preferred more low key work protecting people who really did need protection & not just a fasion accessory. Mark has also been involved in providing specialist training to 'official' agencies abroad.

Mark is renowned as a leading authority on close quarter countermeasures & has been involved in providing training to various specialised military units from this country & abroad. As well as working with one of the UK's Special Forces units Mark has provided close quarter combat training to elements of the Royal Marines, the US Marine Corp, US Navy Special Warfare (SEAL's) & others. Mark has added this experience into his TaeKwon-Do instruction, hence his position on the UKTF technical committee.
And, listed amongst his credentials is "Instructor Native American Martial Arts- Charles Reddeer"

Not sure what to make of all this....

If I recall, that's the company that advertises in Black Belt to teach you to be a bodyguard and embark on an exciting career in executive protection where you live like James Bond and get paid an ass load of cash. Instead of the real world where you make $100 for watching the car while a rich celeb snorts blow off a hooker's ass in a cheap motel just outside of LA city limits.
"Quiet fool before I am kicking the butt!"

"Integrity can't be bought or sold---you either have it or you don't."
    -The Honky Tonk Man

"If you can't be a shining example, at least be a dire warning."
-My Father to me one day

"No surprise. Until Aikido sheds its street-brawling, thuggish image, it'll never be mainstream."
