It varies from night to night, but we'll have 3-minute rolls, with 1 minute breaks. Some nights it might be only half an hour, but at least once I remember it going a full hour and possibly a little more (but that was ne waza followed by randori).
Either way, there's a -lot- of time spent on ne-waza. -

Would you mind keeping track of how much ne waza/randori you guys do for the next few classes and update your review? No knock on your school (it sounds like you guys roll for at least thirty minutes every class, which is awesome), I'm just curious. If you're regularly going sixty minutes plus, your cardio is going to be insane in about three months.

Surely will.
I'm starting to suspect I have inflated it in my mind, and that would be bad. I know it was at least once we went for a good hour, but if I'm claiming it's like that regularly...well, I'd better have the facts. Will keep you guys posted.
Also, I am in no way claiming I go the whole ne waza. I am badly out of shape and frequently gas out. My day job is a combination of content-writer and treasurer for a think tank. Neither demands much exercise out of me, so I'm fat and bad on the cardio. I'm working to improve that though, which is a big reason behind joining Team Katame. -

Slightly inflated, but not by much apparently.
We rolled for forty five minutes tonight (I managed about 30 of it before I completely gassed, but I did get two randori matches and a few ne waza rolls), but according to Mike the goal is a full hour of rolling every practice once people start getting used to the pace. -
