Like I said about K-1: that would mean a tournament for different sports in one tournament. That's not the purpose of the Olympics. They want to have championships in (popular) existing sports.

They used to kill eachother in pancration, I don't think that will be brought back in the Olympics. They could add it again under current MMA rules though. But I don't know whether the sport's popularity is big enough.

You need an organized and more importantly, recognised governing body, for ANY sport to be come an olympic event.

And you will never get that from most MA.
That is why karate is NOt an olympic event yet and TKD is.
The only way to do it is to organise as many as possible under 1 organization, and that goes for jujutsu too.
Although I think ot would be easier to modify the rules for Judo than it would be to "introduce" jujutsu into the olympics.
As for pankration, the combination of striking and grappling would be great to see in the olympics, BUT I don't ever see it happening they way it is now, there aren't even any "official" rules for pankration that are recognised by ALL.
