I did. I paid close attention to the points you've highlighted and I still have to disagree.

Apple pie is, and always has been, a delicious treat. I don't care how many times you try to reframe the argument or however many classic examples you bring up, apple pie will always be a considerate dessert option for the masses.

In fact, I would venture to guess that every single apple pie ever made has been scrumptious. On top of that, there has been one apple pie that fell short of delicious and went on to become a rubarb.

But don't take my word for it.

I understand about the baker thing. Some of those people are just too damn sensitive about their products, but it is VERY difficult to screw up an apple pie.

The crust can be too dry and flakey to the detriment of allowing the filling seep out. By venting the filling, you lose the elasticity of the bottom crust which will lend itself to becoming soggy instead of 'firm'.

Like I said, it is VERY easy to screw up an apple pie.

Some would go from teacher to teacher trying to learn this technique or that kata. Choki Motubu had to secretly watch his brother be trained by his father. He also got thrown out of dojos for bad behavior. Yet he would study as much as he could on his own and provoke fights with others just to try out techniques. There are all kinds of stories of karate students of old questioning, testing and eventually leaving their teachers. It really wasn't all that different from modern MMA philosophy.

Yet, could a student not also speak up using not his words but his actions against an unactionable instructor whose words also speak much about the dialog between teacher and student and their againstness.
