The organizers have now posted a provisional list of seminars at http://thecombatcon.com/class-list . You can look at the list via System/Style (http://thecombatcon.com/classes-by-system) or via Weapon (http://thecombatcon.com/classes-by-weapon). Lastly, each instructor's bio page lists their classes at the bottom. AFAIK this lists about 1/2 of the classes that will eventually be held at the event.
As anticipated, most of the classes are geared around Western martial arts (historical fencing, old-school pugilism, Bartitsu etc.)

This looks like it's gonna be big; between the 20 Featured Guests (mostly film fight choreographers, SF authors etc.), 30 + Western martial arts instructors, more than 40 presenters and a whole bunch of attendees who have already booked, they've run out of room at the Tuscany hotel. Anyone planning to be at CombatCon who hasn't already booked is advised to see other nearby accommodation options via http://thecombatcon.com/register/stay .

Just realized that there hadn't been any report on this event here, and there should be, so here goes; better very late than not at all.
CombatCon was a resounding success, with over 500 registrants coming in from all parts of the US and some from faraway lands. Depending on how you look at it or how you spent your time over the three days, it was either the (probably) geekiest martial arts event in history, or the most violent sci-fi/fantasy convention ever.
Dozens of mostly Western martial arts instructors offered a huge range of classes in all forms of historical fencing, old-school boxing, Bartitsu, Spanish knife fighting, catch wrestling, etc. Simultaneously there was a full track of demonstrations, lectures and panel discussions. Evenings were mostly taken up with socializing, film festival screenings and tournaments, the latter including longsword, knife and rapier fencing competitions, and a stage combat choreography tournament on the last night. Almost everyone made time to get out and see a bit of Vegas as well.
The vendors' room was huge and packed full of booths - Cold Steel had a presence as well as dozens of other armorers, booksellers and costumers.
Apart from catching up with a bunch of people I only get to see once every few years, I actually enjoyed the panel discussions the most. It's not often you get to sit in on discussions between (for example) the fight specialists who helped to create the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings series, the Highlander TV show and "Deadliest Warrior".
It's been confirmed that CombatCon will return to Las Vegas in 2012.Check out the Bullshido.net Western Martial Arts Forum for all things Western, martial and arty.
