As someone with a foot in both camps, this is a bad idea. Nerds are creatures of imagination. You know what you get when your school is taken over by people with overactive imaginations? The Bujinkan.

are the artistic and the criminal,
because they alone, by questioning the society's values,
can force it to change."-Samuel R. Delany

It seems that the only people who support anarchy are faggots, who want their pathetic immoral lifestyle accepted by the mainstream society. It wont be so they try to create their own.-Oldman34, friend to all children -

I saw a tv programme about a morbidly obese mexican troll woman and a body builder who repossess stuff and they took away the car of a man dressed as Spock, his girlfriend was with him and she was hot! He hadn't payed the money for the car loan so he could buy the tickets to the Trekkie convention and he started crying. Was pretty funny.

It depends on what kind of con you go to.
If you're at a gaming or scifi con, you tend to get a pretty trollish populace.
Anime cons, conversely, tend to get more young and attractive men/women who invest a lot of effort into their appearance. The fool thinks himself immortal,

Even if spears spare him. -

Can't argue with that. You can see more and sign up as a sponsor via http://thecombatcon.com/programming/team-fox .Scores of warriors. One arena. The battle continues for 24 hours without stopping. A Team Fox event, CombatCon’s 24-Hour Fencing Fundraiser, “Fight for a Cure,” will pit a multitude of combatants against one another in an effort to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Many fantastic organizations fight for Parkinson’s research in many different ways, but at CombatCon, we will literally fight for it!
Here’s how it works. Schools, clubs, and individuals from across the United States and abroad will gather in Las Vegas at the Tuscany Hotel on the morning of June 24, 2011. Each team or individual will fight for a specified amount of time to insure that there is always some form of combat occurring for 24 straight hours. The styles of combat will be varied, and the weapons will span the ages of history and fantasy. This is an epic battle not to be missed- for a charity worthy of the fight!Check out the Bullshido.net Western Martial Arts Forum for all things Western, martial and arty.
