just found some more info about the fight:
Dear Folks,
As I document on my website, (www.brucelee-nonclassical.com)
Jesse Glover was invited to train at seminars by Keith Kernspecht in
Germany, who by the way is the creator of the largest group of martial
art schools in the world. I know Keith a bit, having met him, and worked
out with his students, and him, while living in Berlin for three years.
He is funny, generous, and has some of the most dedicated students
anywhere in the world. He took Leung Ting's system, and adapted it
"to the European student"..in his own words. Leung Ting in fact, was taught the system after Yip Man had closed his hands...as a favor to a relative.
As such, he was taught the system a bit differently himself. Keith's
other interest was in creating a world-wide system, and so he broke
things up into groups of movements, which he could then "sell", BUT
in a stroke of genious, his schools allow all instructors to keep 100%
of the money they get from students...to graduate to the next level,
he goes around and "tests" them, for which he receives a fee.
Willialm Cheung, for MANY years had stated a specific challenge, to
anyone, anytime, anywhere. Boztepe was NOT the first choice to fight
Cheung...there was a well developed guy, over 7' tall, called the giant..
everyone said he would just be viewed as having won because he was
so big...so after some debate, Boztepe, who at that time had not been
with Kernspecht very long, but who came from Turkish wrestling, was
allowed to be the "challenge". I would say, as Doc has said, it was a
set-up...cameras in place, etc., and this going back to a feud between
Cheung and Leung-Ting. But remember, Cheung did have a stated
open challenge to anyone, anytime, anywhere...
best of training,
chris sutton

"The main problem with that fight was it was taped with a crappy camera from a crappy angle."
The only thing that was ok was the takedown, ie. it worked. The rest of it was awful, just awful.
It is good evidence though."You realise the transformations give a man enough strength to destroy a truck with his bare hands!?
YOU HAVE BETRAYED ME, IN THE WORST POSSIBLE MANNER!!" - KiWarrior
"Sport ? That kind of thing's not my bag baby!" - Sammy Franco
"This system was developed with the help of notible BJJ fighter Ribbon Muchado." - "Sifu" Anthony Iglesias -

7. No WT/VT/WC lineage wars. Noone cares who has the “real” kung fu. Only Pizdoff and Das Moose know who has it anyway. Also, if you want to know if WT/WC/VT works, use the search function and pick the first 10,000 threads covering the subject instead of starting a new one.
(couldn't resist)
what if we just made a WT/VT/WC board that autoposted so noone else had to? -

"I am the best fighter, and I am willing to prove it to them at any time, anywhere. Unlike Leung Ting and company, as shown in the photo, you only have to take one look at them to realize that none of them look that part of martial artists. I could safely say that none of them have done any hard training in recent years. They certainly don't look very impressive! "
I think this pissed off Emin. Cheung was in his forties possibly early fifties when he issued that challenge... who in their middle age would challenge ANYBODY at ANYTIME? What if crocop came to fight him while he was showering? If I was forty and out of my prime and a 20-25 yr old RIPPED LIKE CRAZY turkish guy with a massive grudge came to my door I wud probably die too. Cheung in his prime vs. Emin at his prime would be ineteresting.
In GM Cheungs defense, I have met him and he seemed nice. But then I've heard that he is something of a pervert (theres a thread on this forum where someone has first hand experience of this). He had a lot of stories too.... not like that one master who said he melted his baby, but still kinda iffy I dunno.
Funny thing is Emin claims in a rebuttal in a magazine to Cheungs BB Magazine article (both also posted somewhere on this website) that he was defending his wing chun family (Leung Ting and Keith Kernspecht). But then he had a lineage war with them and formed his own organization and he hates them. ALso amusing that Emin talks bunch of crap about challenges, but then didnt he challenge the Gracies a while back?
