Thing is no one has a problem with that or the different styles. It is the veiled street vs ring BS. Oh and the " I saw the National Treasures therefore, I am right" comments.

Okay, I know this has probably been re-iterated a thousand times on this thread but a fighting sport , in this case muay thai, can just as easily kill someone as as "military art" like muay boran, even if it still existed. People die in boxing, a few have died in MMA, and how many people have died in Muay Thai (in Thailand)? If you hit someone in the temple hard enough, they could die. Im scared enough of that happeneing without having to learn "uber-secret death moves of killing" that may actually work and really ruining someone. Any "sports fighting style" can become deadly with intent, and the REALLY cool part about just training for fun(sport) is when you have proved yourself on the matt or in the ring, when REAL **** goes down, you have the confidence to walk away without throwing a single punch and know that you could've taken him.
With uber-killing moves of death, because of they way they are trained, and how hypothetical they are, you won't have the same confidence or ability to the pull them off in an alive setting. -
