On a national level, we're primarily affiliated with USJF, but we're also affiliated with USA Judo. On a local level, we're affiliated with Ohio Judo, Inc., and one of our instructors is the treasurer of that organization.

It seems like you might have dealt with some clubs that claim that they teach Judo, but it's really some guy who used to wrestle or claims to know some throws. Our club and instructors have gone through the proper training and formalities to be officially recognized in Judo.

We have class on Saturday. You're welcome to check it out.

Ben- I'm glad that you're still teaching. If you're ever near Cleveland, let me know. You need to check out the place as I think you'll be impressed. Best, -Alex

    Howdy,
my son and i are looking for the closest dojo to berea, oh. We would like to study judo. I wrestled for 8 years back in the day and studied tang sudo for a semester or two when i was in college. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Djc,
There are two true Judo schools in the area, MaxOut Sports, which is in Beford Heights, which is a little less than half an hour from Berea, and Chu To Bu West in Avon, which is a little more than half an hour away. By "true Judo schools", I mean that the instructors are recognized by USJF and USJA and hold proper certifications as opposed to someone who know a few throws, pins, and arm bars.
