I wouldn't really focus on bar speed, just add weights until you're at something reasonably heavy for you. Don't max out, but don't make it too light on yourself.

Bar speed has too many variables to encounter. You could simply have poor power but high strength, meaning you can't get the bar to move fast, but you can still handle great loads.

In terms of how much to increase the weight, again, it's an individual thing. Use the bar to gauge your strength, and add what you think you need. It can be 10lb jumps, or if you have great body awareness, you could dial right in on it.

I actually do the "old" stronglifts program because I haven't sat down and come up with a better two-day routine.
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

First day over with. That was fun, but difficult...and ego-shattering.

The best is yet to come. You'll get strong in a hurry.

Don't miss workouts, but keep an eye out for fatigue buildup, mental and physical.

Stating the obvious, but it's helped me out, and I'm almost to the end of my novice SS progression.
