Good stuff, TexJohn. Looks as if the Institute of Certified Martial Artist is another circle jerk club for awarding fake rank amongst its members.
Tgace, I take it that Golden is the short fat guy with the "Instructor" tag on his jacket talking to the taller fat guy in Kevlar? Fat guys talking about martial arts rather than doing martial arts always inspires me with confidence. -

Cross linking this with the MABS investigation.

To summarize, Eric S. Golden is a fraud. His claims to rank are from fraudulent organizations that sell rank amongst the members.

I translated the Hangul on Mr. Golden's Hwa Rang Federation certificate. It has been cut & pasted from a Mudeokgwan certificate. The Mudeokgwan is not associated with any Hwa Rang organization, nor does it teach Gwongyeokdo. Mr. Eric Golden is making ranking claims that are not truthful.

It always frustrates me when guys like this or Luke Holloway who flat out lie about their credentials score good contracts & recognition, but people who actually put in years of training & have actual legit background and certifications struggle for years.
Not that I'm talking about myself or anything. -

I wonder if he really has a contract. This type of training is usually conducted in-house. I had to re-read the entire thread to locate Jeff Cook's post.
I came off active duty in 2000 and finished my obligation to the reserves in 2005. At that time, MACP was the only authorized hand-to-hand training available to the US Army. My reserve unit commander allowed me to teach the program (MACP level 1) in-house, and even loaned me to an Illinois National Guard unit in the area, due to the fact that they did not have an instructor.
Special Operations utilize outside vendors, but they really are elite, high-speed trainers. These people are carefully vetted, approved and trained by the government, not some pot-bellied wannabe, tooting his own horn.
If it has Tires or Tits, expect problems.

He IS some sort of a government contractor, I ran across it somewhere on google, I'll try to locate it. It does not, however, have anything to do with Spec Ops or police training. However, while looking around at that C. Hamilton Robinson douche bag, I found a retired general for the US Army from the same area. He's a black belt also. I'm betting that this was his "in" for the military training. By the name, I'm thinking that the general is related to C.H. Robinson.
