So, following my own philosophy, I trying to get in the best possible shape before I again get serious with fight training. (Coming off a four month period of lackluster, badly structured training, due to exam issues.)
Basically, aiming at a six-day routine, from Dec. 27th to February 12th, with the goal being weight loss and an increase in endurance, for proper MMA/Muay Thai training.
Lifting, isolated muscles, all sets to max: 5x(sets) leg press, 5x calf press, 5x core roller machine (Engrish?), 5x Butterfly Press, 5x T-Bar, 5x Neck Press.60 mins stepperEvening unit: 7 sets of max. ab wheel rollouts, cold.
Kettlebell workout, all sets to max: 5x(sets) Tactical Lunges, 5x Swings to Wide Leg Pushups, 2x(both sides) 5x High Pulls, 2x5x Single Leg Box Squads, 2x5x Turkish Get Up Sit Ups"Weighed Walking" with kettlebells, 3km.Evening unit: 7 sets of max. crunches, cold.
Circuit, most likely Randy Couture Grappling Cricuit, six sets: Bent rows, Upright rows, Military press, Good morning, Lunges (each leg), Squat push press, Deadlift
60 mins of shadow boxingEvening unit: Stretching, as needed.
Repeat routine from Day 4 to Day 6.
Thoughts, comments, ideas? :)

To clarify, are you training martial arts at this time?

Yeah, sure, though really out of a fixed rythm.
Mostly, reviving technical stuff, and trying to understand this grappling thing...
NO CARDIO, AND BITCHTITS, that's what we're talking about.

To clarify, this is the context:
Oh noes, BBC section!
I got to push myself, and freaking hard.
I am in my hometown from Christmas to February, and I want to use this time predominantly to get my power back. First serious pressure tests were rather discouraging, and, as my coaches put it, I still lack, simply, strength and cardio.
You know, like, I am not a natural athlete, and, while technique is something I learn rather well, physical aspects are harder for me to obtain.

What exactly is your martial arts training schedule going to be? Training 6 days a week on top of that can be difficult.

Back in Germany, really, I have no clue so far.
If I focus on the training program as described, then likely none. I will already get my ass kicked plentily when I return in February.

So... What do you think? Is the program balanced? This has been the problem of most of my training plans, in retrospect.

Well, again, I can't really make any comments unless I know what your additional training is going to be. If you can get a definite answer on that, then it will be helpful.

Okay, thanks, I'll then post again as soon as I know. :)
