    erm...where are you having the lesson coz it is a tad expensive in my opinion...

    I mean I pay $20 for 24 hours of taekwondo lessons (I do go to a community centre, but still) per month with a instructor/student ratio of around 1: 7....and I know that my future judo training (I am leaving Hong Kong) at Sydney Uni will only run me at around $12 per month. Even training with TWO UFC fighters (Perosh and Sinosic) is cheaper than what you've got at hand ($110 per month vs $150).

    I suggest that you could go and look at other options...

    just my 2 cents.

    I live in one of the most expensive cities in the country and even the most expensive schools here give you more time per dollar than that, by a wide margin.
    With a few exceptions, around $100-120 gets you unlimited classes.
    There are many places offering much, much cheaper rates as well.

    Perhaps.
    While one could say it is a buyers market here due to the abundance of MA schools, the cost of doing business here is astronomical.

    LOL i can see where youre going with that.

    i meant by definition, he is korean and he is a registered 'master' based on dan rank alone (usually 4th/5th is considered so), and i meant nothing else.

    troll =p

    still, he shouldn't charge this much. unless where he bases charges very high rent (read: a large area in a mall at the centre of the city or something). Do you know is he on the Kukkiwon Sports committee and what Kukkiwon Instructor class is he? Having multiple qualifications might help jusity the price a little :eusa_eh:

    Ummmm...the last I checked, we are in America and the martial art industry has not been regulated so he is allowed to charge whatever he wants, without justifying anything to anyone. If people want to pay it, good for him. If people won't pay it, then he will either lower prices or go out of business. Simple.

    Secondly...I don't believe KKW has a sports committee. They have a Technical Experts Committee, International Advisory Committee, Dan Promotion Committee, but I am unaware of a sports committee.
