So a couple years ago I was browsing a bookstore in chinatown la when I came across a dvd called taiji capture. I figured it was good for a laugh. So I popped it in and figured it was retarded. Obviously it would make me REALLY cool if I managed to pull it off. Next thing I know dudes are screaming instead of tapping and I think I crippled a few guys. Anyone heard of that system? Lots of arm and wrist locks with names like ''kneel and beg for mercy'' and ''kingliness holds tower''

I did Kosho-Shorie Ryu Kempo which had a lot of similar control moves. Handy for self-defense and since the instructor was an ex-bouncer he knew how to make it work. However I am troubled that most of the techniques start with "grab my wrist," or "grab my hand." So few start with "punch me fast, hard, and often."
