Next time make Lampa take a bunch of PCP before you pepper spray him for a true stress test.
So Lampa, how long did it take before the pepperspray's biggest effects wore off, and how long before you totally didnt feel a thing anymore?
Also: Is there such a thing you can do to make the effects wear off quicker?
Opening your eyes doesnt sound logical, but perhaps warm water or something?
There are "decontamination" wipes available from a few different sources. They come in packets like wet naps, we kept some in the booking area and I know they had them on the ambulance.
They don't work much better than mixing no more tears baby shampoo with water and a little sugar.
Either one will work a lot better than water alone. Opening your eyes doesn't really help unless you flush them. Recovery time unaided is usually 30-45 minutes, wipes or baby shampoo can cut it in half.
For the record, do not pour pepper on anything you plan on eating for at least several hours, it'll kick the spray back in.
Lampa, I couldn't help but cringe when I watched the video. Never having experienced that myself, it looked absolutely excruciating.
I believe I would stop betting at this point.
Biggest effects wore off in about 30 minutes. By 45 minutes the areas just felt a little sensitive but no real pain.

water is actually no good for rucing the effect of pepper...this is why water does not help with hot foods made of peppers. Milk does a better job.
Nice, thanks for subjecting yourself to that.
Any vid of the tazer?
I've heard milk or cream helps with the pepper spray, anyone else ever hear that?
I've been CS'd, CN'd, OC'd in training and on the street (happens quite a bit in the ole piggy pile), pepperballed (paint ball guns with OC), and Tasered. None of it's any fun unless you are the one delivering or watching it. :)
Decon Tip: A fan or fresh air will do more for you than constant washing w/ H2O. We have tried everything from beer to milk in decon and some shampoo and water works best IMO. Use the water (and a little baby shampoo helps) to wash off the spray from your face then get to some fresh moving air.

Sambosteve mentioned that. I've heard that the oil in OC spray is acidic, so a more basic solution is needed to neutralize it, hence people drinking milk after eating spicy foods.
