Camp Skeletor 2011...Begin the Planning

Damn, the Ramada isn't too bad. I just called and the guy said 50 per night and 203 per week. I guess I am upgrading from the rat trap I found last time.

OK, people, I went to the Google Sites website, and posted the contact of the travel agency I used to book the Ramada for myself for 41 bucks a night. Getting that rate probably had to do with booking it early, so why don't you go ahead, call the travel agent, and make the reservation now?

41 Bucks a night is ridiculously cheap.

OK, I have been reviewing the website, and I see we need to bring "at least" 200 rounds of 5.56 ammo with brass casings, and "at least" 300 rounds of 9mm with brass casings.

I am thinking I will go to J&G sales website and bulk order to save money. Is there an address in Virginia where I might have all that ammo shipped where an adult could sign for it, so it could be ready for camp? Since ammo is really heavy it would not really be easy for me to carry all that stuff with me when I travel by air.

Final thought...is .223 Rem okay, or does it have to be milspec 5.56 NATO?

First of all, I would appreciate some 5.56 and 9mm. This is where you're going to be doing most of your work. While it sounds like a lot, it really isn't. That's like 6 mags of AR15 and 20 Mags of handgun. Bring what you can, we'll work around the rest. You can ship me the ammo, but before you do so, please contact me first so I can ensure that I'm off and at home to pick it up.

Ha ha, I had actually been planning to order a little more than the recommended amounts so that I don't have the mental stress of counting ammo while I try to work on my skills. (I notice in competition when I'm counting the rounds b/c I'm running low on ammo my shooting tends to get a lot worse.) So no worries there!

I am now learning about twist, bullet weight, ballistics, and all this stuff through a local trainer. Since I now am beginning to understand how these things make a difference, should I get a particular weight of bullet, or is any .223/5.56 going to be acceptable?

I am pretty sure I PM'd or emailed Lord Skeletor about my cancellation, but if I did not here it is. I underestimated the workload required for bar study. Batshit insane. Well, its not that bad but I def cannot take multiple days off of work.

I recommend you guys do a group-buy for like 2000-4000 rounds of ammo and split shipping. When you split shipping, ammo gets much cheaper than walmart.
