    Hell yeah! Hell no!

How many Gi's do you have?

Well I just moved to another city, and didn't get everything with me and just got one pair of a Gi with me.

And this city (Shanghai) seems to be very humid, now I am trying to dry my gi inside the office cuz even after 2 nights waiting outside they are still wet like diarrhea ****.

The gym i train here doesn't have classes everyday like it used to be in Beijing, so I felt like one would be enough even if i wash it everyday but seems like i will need another one soon.

And another thing is it started to get torn in many places since I came here. So I am wondering is it because that I use the same one over and over again?

How many pairs do you have and how many pairs does a BJJ guy need you think?

I've got two, and most of the BJJ guys I train with have two as well. If your gi is starting to tear it's probably time to think about getting a new one. If you want to stick with just one gi, consider spending the money for a high-quality double-weave (usually in the $100-$150 price range). They're heavy but they
can take a lot of abuse and will generally last a long time.

I have 3 one double weave two single weave Gis I would like to pick up at least 2 more. Mind you I train 6 times a week Monday night, 2 times Tuesday 2 times Thursday and one open mat on Saturday. The 3 gis allow me to wash on wed and fri. Someone told me a good rule of thumb is to have as many Gis as you train per week.

the tears i got were minor first but i recently got one big one on the pants, giving me a nice sexy décollete

And the best part is i feel scared to take it to a tailor, because when my first gi had a tear before in beijing, i gave it to a tailor lady for repair and it broke her sewing machine which resulted in her swearing at me and telling me "how stupid i am for wearing that stupid ****"

For now I don't want to just throw it, i am a little short but i better start to collect some money for my second gi.
Do you think wearing a black gi makes you a dick? I always felt if someone lower than purple wears a black gi it would make him look like a dick (i'm a purple though hehe) (now this makes me an alot bigger dick i think)

Bah, raggedy gis are where it's at. Makes you look mean!

Down to one double weave for Judo now that my single weave top has a comically huge patch ripped out of it (gone past mean and into hobo territory). I put my stuff in the washer right when I get home though and toss it in the dryer before I go to bed. (Yes the dryer, I just don't see a point to wearing gis that I need to treat like dress clothes.)

I own two, but my next one is gonna be one of these.
The quick drying and light weight are very attractive.

i agree about the dryer, though haven't seen many driers in china to be honest so it may be a luxury device in here or something i don't know (what i mean is it may be a little expensive)

i heard it may shrink your gi though

well, the claims are pretty nice, do you know anyone that owns them?

I actually like light and thinner gi's, imho it makes it easier for the other guy to get a hold of you, so you have to be more careful cuz you're in more danger.

Yes, they seem super tough and really light.
One of my coaches won his division at NAGA here last month in one.
