The starting distances were astonishingly far apart (even for Aikido), but I guess it's being demo'd in a stadium from the look of it. The only person who would see anything of what was happening if they started sensibly close would be a sniper.

Some of it was lovely. The kicking did have aids though.

When life gives you lemons... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!

"what's the best thing about aikido then?"

Not to defend aikido, but ignoring a kick that isn’t going to hit you isn’t a bad idea. Let your opponent do anything that is useless. Of course, for a demo they should actually be aiming for each other.

Still, you must agree that Aikido is just too deadly for sport and stuff.

I'd say the attending spectators were, at least, suffering what could be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

Silly kicks aside, that was still a pretty entertaining demo to watch. Aikido can be a lot of fun to practice, as long as you don't take it too seriously.

yeah cctv was showing all those in here, it was pretty fun to watch something else instead of all those military or kungfu movies or the news which tells you everyday that "everything is FINE"
