Michigan COSKUMITE!

WHAT: In case you were afraid to interpret that portmanteau, that's a cosplay-kumite. Dress up in anime/video game costumes and beat the **** out of each other.
WHY:The last time I ran into Dagon, Sayu, and Foxd was Ohayocon.
The last time before that was Youmacon. Sensing a trend? If anyone can do this, we can.
WHERE: Unless someone has a better offer, the IMSB mat room in Ann Arbor where we held the abortion that was the first Michigan throwdown.
WHEN: Now, since the last 65 attempts to have a Michigan throwdown have been undone by repeated date changes, I'm going to set a condition: whenever me, Foxd, and Sayu can get together in the same gym, it's going to happen. Even if it's only the three of us. Anyone else is welcome to come, obviously, but we three merry gentlemen are the trigger condition for setting a date.
HOW: At the moment, I'm thinkin' we should mostly do something akin to controlled contact San Da sparring. Why San Da? Because that's pretty much how most fighting games work; lots of punchy kicky, with the occasional flashy takedown thrown in.
SERIOUSLY, WHY: It'll be stupid fun and if we're lucky we'll end with a video of Batman wailing on Cloud Strife or something that will go viral.

Post if you're interested and we'll hammer it out. Costumes should be fight-appropriate, which I realize narrows **** down substantially. I'm pretty sure I can modify my Billy Lee costume to this end (read: take the spikes out and wear wrestling shoes instead of combat boots), and maybe this'll motivate me to make my FF1 Black Belt costume.
So yeah. Let's do this, and stamp our names on nerd history.

Bleach should be fairly easy, as should Ouran. I don't reccomend Trinity Blood at all.

If someone can execute any kind of spin kick while cosplaying Suzaku, they'll be my hero.

I'm pretty sure my Billy Lee costume will work if I take the spikes off the vest, and trade out the gloves and combat boots for MMA gloves and wrestling shoes:
