teeth grinding lifts
so a guy on a nz general forum i post on has been talking about how he can legpress 1400 pounds and bench nearly double his weight after working with a trainer for about 4 months and starting from scratch. naturally skeptical, asked for video, and we got this-

i think i almost crushed my mouse. i want to punch those trainers right in the face, and not just for being douchey enough to have PERSONAL TRAINER emblazoned on the back of their shirts.

I would have preferred to see a side view to see his ROM, it couldn't have been more than 45 degrees. Still impressive to move that much weight around.
Often health clubs/gyms have designated personal trainer staff, the clothing is often company provided since it has the company branding.Surfing Facebook at work? Spread the good word by adding us on Facebook today! https://www.facebook.com/Bullshido

i used to wear a MR STRONG shirt (you know, the mr men gimmick thing) to work until one of my asshole clients started bringing his own one along too. gyms with a dress code are for homos.
edit- i thought it was kinda tough too, until i went to the gym today with a mate and did the same kind of ROM on that machine. we ran out of plates at about the 500kg mark (1000 or so pounds i think)
not that impressive.

LOL at machines.
Show me a 500kg squat over a 645kg leg press any day"The hero and the coward both feel the same thing, but the hero projects his fear onto his opponent while the coward runs. 'Fear'. It's the same thing, but it's what you do with it that matters". - Cus D'Amato

You can see his hands on his knees based on the movement of his shoulders during the press, and then factor in the two guys assisting and the 2" ROM.
But people would rather believe that it only takes 2 months to get in incredible shape than face the reality that this is a long pursuit.
Additionally, from the topic title, I thought this was going to be a topic on wearing a mouthguard while you train."Emevas,

I can never understand when most people posting a video of their lift can't be bothered to edit out the minute or so of nothing really happening from the beginning of the video.
Also, I want to see the bench press video.

Pat Robertson, a, elderly US televangelist did something similar to this with the leg press. What bollocks.
I'll see if I can track down the video.
Edit: The video title is misleading, it should read 2000 pounds.

It's too bad there's a mirror behind the power rack at my gym. Otherwise, I'd never have to see these morons. Earphones block out the noises, but how to get rid of the sight pollution?
Most of this is leverage and elasticity in the tendons and muscle tissue. I loathe the leg press.
I need home gym.
