    I feel that martial artists who train 'live' have a distorted view of street altercations because of the quality of our training partners. I have this guy in my gym that SMASHES my guard to the point where I sometimes think that my techniques wouldn't work on anyone. This guy just finished 2nd in the U.S. Open Heavyweight Blue Belt Division............

    The same distortions I'm sure apply to throwing people on the street. As Ben said in an earlier post, throwing an untrained person becomes TRIVAL at a certain level of experience.

    To sum it up: Anyone well versed in Judo will bounce street thugs on their heads.
