Not sure what type of theoretical facts, footage or proof you want, but i can only give you my experiences that I have witness 1st hand. I try to keep this one short. My distant relative has done Wing Chun for 5 years and we were at a train station, got randomly jumped by a few islanders, I was trying hard to break away towards my relative who which i was worried the heck for, his only 5'6 short guy. He was handling a much physically bigger dude and my relative handle him with ease without loosing balance as the dude was rushing in like a rugby tackle sorta, then he just dropped him with a strike to the sternum meanwhile i was so so lucky i shoved one of the guys towards a window ledge and he got smacked in the head. By the time train officers came, the islander my cousin dealt with was just laying there having trouble breathing and WE got the blame which until later the sent us an apology letter in the mail. -

At our school we dont have ranks, shoulda added that in the review, I believe its how long it takes you to learn one form and the amount of time u been there, then u move up and change shirts. I only done it for a near 5months but I tried my best to remember and apply the concepts.
