Yeah... .45 prices are just about enough to make me cry at the moment. I like 'em a lot, and I love the trigger and action on most .45s, but with modern hollow points and the higher capacity of 9mm, the only reason not to go with a 9 over a .45 is if you live in an area that limits ammo capacity. Suppose I could get one of those 1911s that fires 9mm, but that seems like cheating.

got one of these, and I fucking love it. I've put easily 1000 rounds through it (Not consecutively) and its never had a jam. Plus, its damned accurate, too. Cheap to shoot, great for beginners as well as practice.

and you got a wicked deal on it, too.

The only issue I've had with mine so far is that it will not feed the first round of a new magazine properly if you don't pull the slide ALLTHEFUCKINGWAYBACK. But this only happens if the slide is already locked back (eg from emptying one magazine). Pretty minor, if you ask me. It only happened once or twice, and then I figured out what I was doing wrong. I figure regular use will break it in so this doesn't happen. If not, it's not very hard to get used to + prevent from happening.

I haven't practiced taking this guy apart and putting it back together yet, but I'll be doing it a lot over the next few weeks. Seems like it's not as hard as it's made out to be, but not nearly as easy to do as a normal pistol.

After taking my MKIII 22 45 apart and putting it back together again a few times, I can definitely see why people complain about disassembly/reassembly.

I also got a speed loader for it:

Kind of bulky, but it makes going to the range a lot more fun.

Are you shooting jacketed .22, or are you shootin' bare back?

I'd recommend going to jacketed, as it really is much, much cleaner. (on the barrel)

As in copper plated HP? I've been shooting Remington Thunderbolt because I bought a couple bricks of it on sale, but I suppose I might switch once I run out.

Love mine. Its a no bells or whilstles model. But its accurate and easy to shoot and clean. Only problem I've had is sometime the feedramp will bite into a round once in awhile. Never figured out what did it, but it hasn't done it for along time.

No bells and whistles on mine, either. I might upgrade the front sight at some point, but I'm very happy with it overall. Mine has done the same twice so far, but I assume it'll probably stop happening after I've put more rounds through it.
