The thing with Monkfg is that he has self-diagnosed autism and hypersensitivity issues.

As of his capacity to blow up every single sparring session into a deadly duel,
I wonder what the EuroMega videos will become in time.

    - "How I won the World Series"?
    - "The test for my black belt in AWESOME"?
    - "How I beat up the entire Bullshido crew single-handedly"?

In short, he's an idiot, and I hope he doesn't come back.

@Monkfg: Dammit, why must you make a stupid thread like this? Honestly, your credit went up a bit by coming to the EuroTD and whatnot. But now, ugh.

If you were honestly leaving, then you could like... just leave (without making a stupid thread about it). Dammit man.

Also, the people who were at the TD can all vouch for his asperger/autism thingy. So I still cut him some slack.

I originally came to this forum to find out if there are people training like I do. When I posted about my tai chi practice and the concepts I use in training and sparring and told that I do well with it against other fighters that have more fighting training than I do, (I can't train much due to my physical infirmities and hypersensitivity problems) I usually met disbelief, arrogance and even hostility. I was always being honest and ultimately visited the euro mega throwdown, even brought my own camera to get as much footage as possible. It was cool to be there(thanks to Zendokan for organizing it), to sparr against different guys, to talk about martial arts, but I didn't find anything new there. I've said everything already and I don't know what's left I could contribute to this forum and I think I'm a little too sensitive for the posting style here, so I'll leave. Good luck everyone, believe in yourself.
If you really wanted to spar MMA with something new, you could have asked me to team you against Wim Deputter, the BJJ Brown Belt under Felipe Costa and member of Team Souwer (Andy Souwer's Shoot Boxing) with also a nice MMA record.

You are still at the beginning of your MA career, there's so much to learn.

Unfortunally I couldn't play MMA this year, I still have the two small breaks in my foot thanks to a submission wrestling idiot who cranked my both feet at a training and who didn't respond to me tapping out...though luck for him, he got supplexed trough the tatami for that (the tap out is sacred with us at the club).

But I wish you all the best and you are still welcome to the EuroMega 3 (where I will show you some new stuff)

    regards,
    Zendo

No, TD, you can't, with all respect:

I wasn't going to bring this up in this detail, again, but there is a difference between simply being a weirdo, and being the Rain Man.

    First caveat, for me:

No BS MMA and Martial Arts - View Single Post - Let's see what happens!

Maybe all this has to do with me being autistoid(not enough for aspergers, but enough to make life difficult)
    Second caveat:

No BS MMA and Martial Arts - View Single Post - I'm calling out Monkfg!

The autisotid/hsp(higly sensitive person) condition is pretty much the opposite type of charakter than you'd expect from fighters so I maybe should comment less and think about how other people see the world first.
Now, the thing is, disorders of the autist spectrum and HSP are completely different things. No psychologist whatsoever would diagnose you with BOTH; basically, because the first disorder is about your inability to deal with stimuli, the second is about your inability to manage your emotions. (Gross simplification, and I am aware of this.)

Now, the way Monkfg puts it, an autistoid person is essentially the same
as an HSP person. - Where does he get that from, I wonder?

Because, if he was even in basic psychotherapeutical treatment, he would know that the treatment for a neorological disorder (autism and related) is different to that of a neurotical disease (HSP). Because one is medical, and the other is ambulant.

Now, I don't rule out that he is somehow under psychatrical surveillance, and that his case is probably being investigated, but then he would probably know the difference between autism, Asperger's, the Jungian term of innate sensitiveness, and HSP. - Because the measures you take are different, depending on the nature of the illness.

    But I don't believe it.

    Why?

Well, apart from the many, many questions that his autism would rise, I'll tell you a little story: When I was younger, I used to hang out a lot with metalheads.

Aaah, the year 2000: Everyone had long hair, thought Dimmu Borgir was the ****, everybody was antisocial, and everybody practiced ninjutsu in his backyard.

Now, EVERY SINGLE ONE of my hardcore metal friends sooner or later told me, the desperate mouthboxers that they were, that he had some form of mental disease that made him (or her!) the super-duper-awesome genius the world had been waiting for, and that everything he did in a weird way, was really part of the plan, or caused by their usually innate disease that somehow gave them superpowers.

    I can't talk to girls? - The Asperger's.

I don't get along with my teachers? - The Asperger's.

I suck at gym class? - The Asperger's.

But look, I did something right, like wash my car, or buy a shirt that isn't ugly? - Yeah, well, I got this mental condition that makes me awesome.

So, since I know Monkee is a metalhead, and since he has displayed pretty much exactly the same attitude and skill level I remember from my black leather friends back in the day, I am inclined to say, "walks like a duck, talks like a duck"...

A decent beginner, but fighting like every fight was on life or dead.

I only saw him fight against Moenstah and Tranquil Suit.
Moenstah is Ashihara, so once it goes into wrestling he's at a disvantage.
Tranquil Suit has a Krav background, lots of techniques but almost no sparring experience.

So the vids give a wrong impression, that's why I didn't request TD-Fists this year.
