If it makes you feel better, in combat sports it's rarely a good thing. I've never had the reach advantage. Additionally, it's fucking HARD for me to get over 200lbs, which impairs my ability for maximal lifting. I just don't have much room on me. I got a buddy who hasn't been lifting for as long, but being taller, he was able to get up to 230lbs while still not being very big, and is able to put up some massive lifts.

I don't even want good reach. I just want a little bit more reach and a bit longer legs, dammit! Technical boxing is so much harder with shorter reach.
Another thing I noticed about being short (I'm the same height as emevas but loads weaker in strength) is not getting injured. knock on wood..
back on topic, are you going for the MMA look or the Kickboxing look? MMA look is a bit sexier, Kickboxing look is often related to the malnourished/zombie look. lolLast edited by dwkfym; 10/11/2010 10:39pm at .
