In that case, you'll have to consider ILS compatibility when choosing a mainspring housing (if you choose to replace the stock one).

    why so sad, Skelly?
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

I am not a huge fan, either, but it's cool-looking and I didn;t need the rims anymore.

1911a1 has no beaver tail. They will all do that if you let the webbing between your index and thumb ride up while shooting.

Just something to watch out for.

Yeah, after nearly a century of proven combat performance why would anybody want a 1911?

    Congrats on the trade Scrapper.

I like 1911s pretty well, but would absolutely not trade my 400 dollar glock 19 for a 1911 that cost 10 times as much.*

*Assuming in such a scenario that I was not permitted to then turn around and sell said 4000 dollar 1911 for 10 glock 19s.

Man. Please...just say it ain't so! I offer a thousand prayers for your wounds and mental illness to pass! LOL =)

Kidding...hope you enjoy it. Far be it from me to heckle somebody who bought a gun simply because they got a good deal on it or simply like the design. The main thing to celebrate here---is that you bought a gun. We're all proud of you for that. As much as I have a good-natured laugh from time to time regarding the 1911 design---if it's something you seriously like; fucking go for it man. You're simply "the man" because you bought a gun (at least---in my book). First rule of a gun fight: Have a gun. Let us know how it works out for you and how the sights/trigger work for you.
