    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    I drank the kool-aid...

    and got one of these:

Auto-ordnance 1911. I actually traded a set of Summit racing Oldsmobile Rallye rims for it. I don't have the cutlass any more, so I had no use for em.

It needs a front site (recommendations?), but other than that....it's pretty fun to shoot. It may become a carry piece if I like it enough.

Advice for the new 1911 owner people?
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

No ratttle. Gun is actually very tight, but the front site is missing... a failing common to this model.

You know this weapon is Steven Seagall's personal favourite.. Don't you ?

    It's in all his films.

    Now there's a ringing endorsement.

Don't like lasers. Has anyone had any luck with the low-light fiber optic front sites?

just a point to consider on lasers is the intimidation factor if for some reason you ever did have to pull your gun in a SD application they do let the person on the other end know that you most certainly have them sited. But yes beyond this I am actually not a big fan of them myself.
As far as the low-light fiber optics I have heard good things but have not had a chance to use one myself.

Nice! Very classy. I have one just like it myself. (RIA though, instead of Auto Ordinance.)

My only caveat is watch out for the hammer bite.
