    Hell yeah! Hell no!
    ****! Gnarly...
    That MRSA stuff is no joke, we've had a few institutional outbreaks here...

    Glad it turned out ok.
    Thus the importance of the MD diagnosis....

    (Blister and crust, there's a band name there...)

    @Mighty:
    Curious, did your doc suggest just letting it run its course or are you taking anything?

    He suggested to just keep it clean and let it run it's course.

    I'm not sure even anti-virals work against shingles. The virus itself is safe in the nerve (much like Herpes simplex (coldsores)). Once the virus particles decide to migrate it's too late to do much. An anti-viral would need to be topical and neuro-absorbent I guess.

    I was under the impression shingles was overwhelmingly painful? Or am I thinking of scabies? I remember a friend of mine from work got one or the other and was out for near on a month.

    I don't know about overwhelmingly, but I'd categorize my case as "whelmingly painful". Last night was the first time it really made it hard to sleep. From what I hear, this another issue wear it's horrible on old folks and milder on us young'uns.
