    Hell yeah! Hell no!

A ninjer better than Chuck Norris?

Sadly, this writer hasn't done his research:

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/late...s-in-the-world

[h=Harder than Chuck Norris! Brighton man becomes one of only 50 true NINJAS in the world]1[/h] THE owner of a lighting firm in Brighton has joined an elite group that makes him one of the 50 top ninjas around the world.

    By Tom Rawle/Published 10th February 2014
15TH DAN: Jake Sharpstone is now an elite Ninja [SWNS]

Jake Sharpstone was awarded the rank of 15th Dan - the highest possible honour in Ninjitsu - and now ranks with some of the most elite fighters on the planet.
The 48-year-old is now classed as a master of the ancient martial art.
He even ranks higher than Chuck Norris , Jet Li and Bruce Lee in the world of martial arts who all never made it past 10th dan.
But the lighting technician likes to keep the whole thing very quiet.
He said: "Part of Ninjutsu is secrecy. It would not be very secret of me to walk through the streets of Brighton covered head-to-toe in black.
"Basically, the Ninja in Japan were used for espionage because Samurai had a strict codes of conduct, called Bushido, that to break meant dishonour.
"They were not allowed to be sneaky and that's why ninjas were employed to undertake espionage and spying, as well as assassination - all things forbidden by Bushido."
LEGEND: Jake with Grandmaster Hatsumi [SWNS]
“It would not be very secret of me to walk through the streets of Brighton covered head-to-toe in black.”
    Jake Sharpstone
Jake, who took up the martial art when he was just 11-years-old, said his training is not just about creeping around quietly.
He explained that trains with Shuriken ninja stars and other dangerous weapons.
He added: "Ninjutsu is an active martial art, so we don't have competitions. When we train we're training for real, with real weapons.
"It's incredibly dangerous, but the discipline teaches you to know exactly how to handle every situation, and most importantly keep safe."
MASTER: Maasaki Hatsumi is a well known grandmaster in Ninjitsu [SWNS]
Known by his warrior name as 'Genteel Dragon', Jake was awarded the 15th dan by grand master Maasaki Hatsumi, head of the Bunjinkan form of Ninjutsu.
Dividing his time between his lighting firm and Ninjitsu, Jake passes on his skills to the younger generation at his own dojo in Brighton.
He said: "We learn techniques demonstrated by the grandmaster in a careful and relaxed manner so they become absorbed into our bodies and become natural.
"But most important is to have a good heart which benefits mankind."

Dunno if it's promotion win. But surely it's information fail.

BTW, where's the top 50 list of "True" Ninjas? Surely it's not just being 15th dan (I remember hearing Hatsumi saying that there are more than 200 15th dans in a video a few years ago). And "one of the elite fighters on the planet"?

This is not going to help Bujinkan's cred.

    Nice girls though.

And -- OMG -- Hatsumi looks terrible! And I think his hair really is purple, that's not just a trick of the light.

Well, purple is a ninja color. Just ask Ayane.

And here's a pulse-pounding, nine-minute video of the man in "action":

How curious. It looks like Sharpstone's got a black belt in Judo...

So he was 8 in '73 and received his blackbelt at '81. He was shodan at 16 years of age.

    Competition record?

That video, now I finally understand!

I could totally be a ninja master like him... if all f my opponents moved in slow motion all of the time as well. Would definitely make the whole 'fighting thing' a lot easier...

Why do I keep working with people who move fast and resist? I'm such a fool!

Science fact. Norris destroys every single ninja he meets in that movie. He whoops Ninjutsu so deftly that he even manages to carry on a stoic, contemplative inner monologue while doing it.

Ass kicking is his quiet place.

My favourite bit (other than the girls) is how both articles posted emphasize how important secrecy is to being a ninjah

p.s. Chuck Norris totally kicks Ninjah ass

p.p.s it's the daily star, having to use it as a last resort to wipe your arse is a proven method of improving the content of that rag
