Jose Luis Isidro Casas, 51, besides being orthodontist, a profession he left by the crisis, was a teacher in a martial arts discipline, Aikido, which was 6th Dan. Divorced, with its depleted financial resources and perhaps influenced by the philosophy of sport he is a teacher and he defines as "an art of creation and to create have to evolve," he decided to do it, but in a peculiar way: robbing banks. So, this man, who has written numerous books about the martial arts, he also learned to attack and defend. However, these practices not used in the attacks, which never missed no hand of violence.

Acceded to branches, pretending to be a venerable old man, with wig, beard and cane and awkward gait, not to arouse the suspicions of the employees, while at other times, appeared to be an executive in a suit, with sunglasses and briefcase. He also wore dark lenses to hide his light eyes and is even believed that used surgical gauze was introduced into the mouth in order to modify their features.

This approach is described in police jargon as "Mort". A Jose Luis Isidro Casas five steals against him in as many bank branches, in which they seized a haul of more than 250,000 euros and foreign currency, police sources said.

This is not going to help Aikido shed that thuggish street image, tho he does sound more like a ninjer than an Aikido teacher.

Well, I can understand it. He probably has a desperate need for students soooo, decided on a more direct approach to filling the financial gap: Mats and Dojos don't pay for themselves otherwise....

We know the ferocious impact of Austerity measures are having in Spain; so his actions make sense.

A real Aikidoka like Steven Seagal would have sliced the teller's throat open with a blank check.
