Are you diseased??
So now that the AMA has officially removed all personal responsibility from being fat the floodgates are open for the drug companies to offer a variety of new magic pills. Fucking hell what's next?? How about lazyness as a disease?? Well in a way that's pretty much what they have done with this ruling on obesity. So now it's not YOUR FAULT your fat it's because you're diseased. Nevermind your total lack of healthy eating or the fact that you never walk more than 15 feet in a day because its not at all your fault. I'm so fucking sick of societies desire to remove all personal responsibility from life. But now I guess we all get to pay for everyone's life choice.

So, if obesity is a disease, and my doctor proscribes exercise for me, will my insurance pay for my gym membership, or some new kettlebells?
Could I have possibly put more commas in that question?

Meh, we've had "metabolic syndrome" for decades.

Awesome...because American workers need additional reasons to file for disability.
Our country is fucked.

Part of the problem is not just big pharma, but big Agri. If you aren't well off, it is hard to eat properly. Or, if you are stupid ass, lazy hick, you mail feel that it's un amurican to eat healthy, and you should be able to deep fry everything with, taters and have a big dessert. Or, if you are a libertarian, you feel that it is everyone's right to eat crap, and your all on your own, so **** you, but I digress. Don't get me started on how few options there are to eat healthy in the inner city. ****, it's hard to eat healthy in the suburbs sometime."Coffee is for Closers" GlenGarry Glenross
