    Who is Grandmaters Dexter Brown

There is a new martial arts school in town and the instructor claims to be a 9th Dan. His name is Dexter Brown. Does anyone know if this guy is legit?

I've never met him, but here's his resume:

Grandmaster Brown is the holder of five (5) different black belts from five (5) separate world renowned Supreme Grandmasters or Professors of the martial arts.

This is not the place for general questions, its for serious investigations. Depending on the style he claims post in one of the style forums.

Legit is a subjective term. This is the section for investigating fraudulent and remarkable claims. Please post links and reasons for your questioning his legitimacy.

He is a Ninja and Dillman Affiliate.

I don't know him personally, but based on those 2 links I would think twice about training with him.

Apparently, he trained under Wally Jay which is, admittedly, pretty cool.

You should read this stickies associated with this part of the forum, as this is not an appropriate thread for MABS.

That being said according to his website he is the founder of the " Five Element Kyusho system of nerve attacking" and an 8th degree blackbelt under George Dillman, along side koga-ryu.

So I if by "legit" you are asking if he is a high rank under George Dillman, then I would probably say that its true(cause who would lie about that?) If you are asking me if it is a good place to learn applicable self defense, then I would say no. If you want to verify his rank with George Dillman, you should start a line of inquiry with his association.

More to the point the guy is probably a worthless waste of time.
