Thanks for sharing. Not sure what you mean by "shaw brothers footwork" but hey a knockout is a knockout. Then again, I've only seen one Shaw Brothers movie, and I'm not sure I remember which it was.

Totally! I was hoping several others would drop in their style's name for that technique.

What Ming said, alternately in hung kuen might be identified as toe ying choi, earth-shaped punch (downward smash striking with knuckles).

Looks like a mouse step (slide/shuffle) too.

I have his Sanshou manual...I'll see if he has this technique listed in there anywhere.

That looks like the kind of lead counter hook pacquiao might throw to me more than anything ive seen in kung fu movies to be honest. Bloody good shot though. He covered up and bobbed well.

Well, you know, fighting looks like fighting, and I have no reason to believe this punch rose up out of Cung's ancient memories of doing a bit of traditional CMA when he was in high school. I posted it because the little horse stance hop he does as he swings his arm wide is a classic movement in every longfist-derived system, and because I wanted to see what kind of freaky spelling Ming would use for the Cantonese name.
