    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Amazing BJJ armbar by a lightweight against Jeff Monson! Pro MMA Training from Biloxi

Check this out, then check out my blog where Davi Ramos breaks this down and shows you all the details behind that exact technique he used to finish his much larger opponent, former UFC Heavyweight Contender Jeff Monson here in this video:

    Here's how he did it:

Feel free to leave a comment if you thought this was a slick finish!

And how about a comment on this thread? Not too many comments in this forum for some reason...

That was DAMN impressive submitting Monson from that position! Don't think I'd have too much success with the armbar from that position but it's one to keep in mind.

I completely expected him to go for the OTHER arm when Monson reached out for him. That was wicked.

That is my doing I'm afraid. I'm the moderator, and am very strict about members posting in a manner that is both on topic and knowledgeable.

However, perhaps most members are unaware that this criteria is not as strictly enforced in threads announcing/discussing tournaments or videos.

To the rest of you, as long as it is on topic, you are free to comment on these threads without worrying about online recriminations.

I wish there was an alternate angle of that video. I had to watch it a few times to piece together exactly how he finished. That was a very fluid finish.
Shut the hell up and train.

There's what jnp said, but there's also that I've seen this before a while ago. It's awesome, no doubt.

That was quick and smooth, also liked the vid explaining it. I got to say though, Davi isn't exactly Caio Terra. He's pretty jacked.

I did think 'lightweight? WTF? That dude has to be 180...' when I saw him. Is he really a 155er?

Well he competes at 167lbs and he is pretty short considering Jeff Monson is like 5'8.

**** he tapped Joao Assis too. The dude's fast and slick.

How is this the first time I've heard of him? Damn! When did he Assis?

167 makes more sense. He probably weighed close to 180 in that fight then considering the weight cut.
