It seems that I am in good company...I'm about fed up with TLC; the network has attempted to glorify and validate pageant moms intheir selfish quests to live out their own withered "beauty queen" dreams vicariously through their young children (Toddlers in Tiaras). Awesome, lets dress our 2-6 year old daughters likeprostitutes and put them on prime time TV. I often wonder how those"parents" can sleep at night; they have effectively turned their babies into the object of desire for thousands of furiouslymasturbating pedophiles. To top it all off, TLC takes the stupidest, fattest, most loud mouthed family out of the group and gives themtheir own show. I guess I'd be okay with the whole thing was done up as commentary on how fucked up some of these pageant folk are; a meanspirited (Jerry Springeresque) "I'm better than you" format would have worked great too. IMO, TLC again works to portray something that is inherently bad in a positive light. It is NOT OK to live like that! It is not fucking OK to be a mother at 15 and a grandmother at 32! It is NOT OK to have five fucking kids all fathered by different men! Most of all, it is NOT OK to encourage your children to live an unhealthy lifestyle that consists of junkfood auctions, dumpster diving, and laying the **** around all day.

WTF?
I was under the impression that TLC stood for The Learning Channel what the **** has happened to it? (it should be noted I haven't had cable in years as hulu/netflix takes care of me)
I have noticed the History channel has also gone down the crapper and no longer features awesome people like Roger Mudd.
